Air fryer corn dogs are a delicious mix of a crispy corn bread shell that surrounds a perfectly cooked hot dog. You can make frozen corn dogs in the air fryer in minutes with this cooking method.

Turn this into a meal with french fries, onions rings, or tater tots.

There is nothing like a freshly dipped and fried corn dog but sometimes when you want something quick, a frozen corn dog is the perfect option

Why cook in the air fryer?

You probably have a microwave and an oven so why should you use an air fryer? There are many reasons I choose this cooking method.

An air fryer uses hot, circulated air which gives food a delicious crispy, crunchy, just-like fried texture and taste. It’s the perfect way to cook frozen food like chicken nuggets, coconut shrimp, and bagel bites.

Also, since you don’t have to use any extra oil, it helps to cut back on calories. The air fryer is also fast and easy to clean.

Ingredients needed

  • Frozen corn dogs – What are the best frozen corn dogs? There are many great brands like Foster Farms corn dogs, State Fair, and Morning Star.

  1. Preheat: Preheat the air fryer for 3-5 minutes. (If you forget to preheat or don’t have time, don’t worry.)
  2. Cook: Place the frozen corn dogs in the air fryer basket. I can get 4-5 corn dogs in my 5.8 quart machine. Set the temperature to 400 degrees F and cook for 8 minutes.
  3. Flip: Flip the corn dogs over and cook at 400 degrees F for another 3-4 minutes.

Recipe tips

  • Don’t stack the frozen corn dogs on top of each other while cooking. This helps the heat to circulate around the food to get an even cook and the perfect crunch on the outside.
  • Use soft tipped utensils when removing the food from the air fryer so that the basket doesn’t get scratched.
  • Each air fryer can cook a little different so cook times may vary.
  • Make sure the internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees F.
  • Be careful, the corn dog and the stick will be hot once they have finished cooking.
  • These are best served immediately but you can store any leftovers in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
