What is Blooming Onion Sauce?
The Bloomin Onion, a deep fried, carved onion appetizer, was made famous by the chain steakhouse, Outback Steakhouse. The onion is served with an amazing, flavorful sauce, they call Bloom Sauce, or Bloomin Onion Sauce.
Bloomin Onion Sauce ingredients
This is a simple mayonnaise based sauce. The ingredients can be adjusted to taste.
- Mayonnaise – Use your favorite mayonnaise.
- Horseradish – You will want to look for prepared horseradish in a jar, not horseradish cream. I can usually find it in the condiment aisle of the grocery store.
- Ketchup – Ketchup adds a hint of sweetness to the sauce.
- Seasonings – Paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper
