Cauliflower and Broccoli Salad sure to please any crowd!

This broccoli and cauliflower salad is one of those go-to recipes that is nice to have in your recipe collection. A great side dish to bring to any gathering or serve at your next BBQ.

We love this salad recipe because it has just a few ingredients and can be made in minutes. I recommend chopping the cauliflower and broccoli into small, bite-sized pieces so it will be easy to eat.

I like to cook my bacon in a skillet but use whatever method you prefer like an air fryer. Turkey bacon will also work or even bacon bits if you are short on time.

Broccoli Cauliflower Salad Recipe ingredients

  • Broccoli – Chopped broccoli florets.
  • Cauliflower – Chopped cauliflower florets.
  • Red onion – Finely diced red onion is used for flavor and added color.
  • Bacon – Diced bacon or bacon bits.
  • Cheese – Cubed cheese like Colby Jack.
  • Mayonnaise – Mayo is used to make the light dressing.
  • Sugar – Adds a hint of sweetness to the salad.
  • Vinegar – Balances the sweetness. You can use white vinegar or apple cider vinegar.

What Bacon to Use?

I love making my bacon in the air fryer. It gets it crisp enough to break up for the salad. You can also use bacon bits if you have those on hand.

How to make Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad

Step one: Mix crunchy broccoli florets, cauliflower, diced red onion, cheese cubes, and bacon bits in a large bowl.

Step two: To make the sweet mayo dressing, whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar in a separate bowl.

Step three: Cover and store the salad and dressing in the refrigerator until ready to serve. When you are ready to eat, toss the dressing with the salad.

Do I Need To Cook the Broccoli and Cauliflower?

No need to cook the broccoli or cauliflower for this salad. It gives the salad a nice crunch and holds up to the dressing.
