Ground beef ramen noodles is an easy dinner that the whole family is sure to love. Made with ground beef, vegetables, and ramen noodles that are coated in a delicious sauce.
This is a wonderful meal that can be made in less than 30 minutes. Some of our other favorite quick meals are baked ravioli, pizza casserole, and baked tortellini.
We always seem to have a few packages of ramen noodles in the pantry. It’s one of those things that brings me back to college days when we didn’t have much time to cook.
Now I like to use the noodles for things like this viral ramen recipe and ramen salad.
Why you’ll love this recipe
- Budget friendly – Ground beef is typically an affordable protein. Ramen noodles are also one of the most budget friendly ingredients.
- Fast – A full meal that can be made in about 30 minutes.
- Versatile – Easy to add your favorite vegetables and adjust the sauce to taste.
What you need
- Ground beef – I like to use lean ground beef. You can also use ground chicken or ground turkey.
- Vegetables – I am using broccoli and bell peppers but you could add your favorite vegetables or even frozen vegetables.
- Ramen noodles – It doesn’t matter what flavor you have. You will only be using the noodles, NOT the seasoning pack.
- Soy sauce – This is the base for the sauce.
- Sesame oil – A little goes a long way with flavor.
- Brown sugar – Adds just a slight hint of sweetness to balance out the savory.
- Vinegar – I am using white vinegar but you can substitute with rice wine vinegar.
- Garlic – One clove of garlic adds amazing flavor to the sauce.
- Green onions are optional.

Step one: Cook beef – Cook and brown the meat in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the beef is cooked, drain any excess grease.
Step two: Vegetables – Add the broccoli and pepper in the same skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes. Pour the beef back into the skillet with the vegetables.
Step three: Noodles – Boil the ramen noodles according to the package directions. Drain the water and pour noodles in with beef and vegetables.
Step four: Sauce – In a bowl, stir together soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and sesame oil.
Step five: Pour the sauce over the beef and noodle mixture. Optional, top with diced green onions. Toss everything together and serve warm.
Tips for success
- If you like your food with more sauce, double the sauce recipe. (Find measurement conversions here to help with doubling.)
- Remember, you don’t need the seasoning packet from the ramen noodles.
- Want your meal to be a little spicier? Add 1-2 teaspoons of Sriracha sauce to the mixture. You could also add crushed red pepper flakes.
- You can try adding a little bit of olive oil to the ramen noodles to help prevent them from sticking together.
Variations
There are many ways to customize this recipe. Here are a few ideas:
Protein – Try substituting the ground beef with diced chicken, ground pork, or shrimp.
Vegetables – Add more of your favorite vegetables like sliced mushrooms, edamame, carrots, peas, water chestnuts, and more. You could even add diced pineapple for a sweeter taste.
Nuts – Add in some peanuts for a little crunch.
How to store
Store any leftovers in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. You can reheat this dish in the skillet over medium heat or in the microwave.
Try serving this dish with egg rolls with duck sauce for a full meal.
