Heather’s recipe tips

  • Softened the cream cheese. Make sure you take time to soften the cream cheese at room temperature. This helps it not be lumpy and makes it easier to spread over the tortilla.
  • Dice into small pieces. Make sure to dice the roasted red peppers and pepperoncinis into small pieces.
  • Roll tight. You want to roll the tortillas as tight as possible. This helps to make sure there isn’t a hole in the center of the pinwheel.
  • Chill the rolls. Allow time for the pinwheel rolls to chill before slicing. This helps them stay together when slicing.

Variations

These pinwheels are easily customizable. Here are a few ideas:

  • Meat: You can substitute with your favorite deli meat like ham, turkey, capicola, and more.
  • Cheese: You can substitute the provolone with sliced mozzarella.
  • Other: Try adding in a couple leafs of romaine lettuce for crunch and color.

Storage

Keep these pinwheels in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will be good for about 3 days.
