My Oreo fluff recipe is a must try because it’s a wonderful no-bake dessert that blends Oreo cookies, marshmallows, and Cool Whip to make an irresistible treat. This recipe also uses a pudding mix which guarantees a perfect creamy base that will have your family and friends asking for seconds.
This recipe was created because I have a son that can’t seem to get enough Oreo cookies in his life. They are one of his all-time favorite cookies so I thought it would be fun to use them in a creamy dessert.
Being from the South, fluffs like this cherry fluff and 5-cup salad, are part of our potluck culture, so making a cookie fluff just seemed natural. After a lot of experimenting with ingredients, I ended up with this light and fluffy version.
I’m excited to share how easy it is to make this Oreo fluff recipe and hope it becomes a family favorite. Let’s get started!

Oreo fluff ingredients
You only need 6 ingredients to make this recipe.
- Oreo Cookies – I am using Golden Oreo cookies but you can substitute with the original chocolate flavor.
- Cream cheese – Make sure to let the cream cheese soften on the counter before mixing. It helps to achieve a creamy texture.
- Instant vanilla pudding mix – This is a key ingredient for adding flavor and creamy texture.
- Milk – I typically use 2% milk because that is what we have in the refrigerator. You can also use whole milk.
- Frozen whipped topping – Cool Whip is what I use but you can use the store brand. You will want to let it thaw before combining.
- Mini marshmallows – Add a great texture to the fluff dessert.

Step one: Break the Oreo cookies into chunks. You can do this by hand or place them in a large bag and use a rolling pin to break them apart. I do like to try and have larger chunks so you can really taste the texture of the cookie.
Step two: Make the creamy base. Place the softened cream cheese in a mixer bowl. Beat on medium speed until it’s creamy and smooth. Mix in the milk and instant pudding mix.
Step three: Add-ins. Using a spatula, stir in the Cool Whip. Add in the broken cookies and mini marshmallows. Serve immediately or cover and keep in the refrigerator until ready to eat.
