Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup milk
- 8 ounces shredded mild cheddar cheese
- 1/4 salt
- 1/4 ground black pepper
Instructions
- Place the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Let melt.
- Whisk in the flour. Keep whisking for about 1 minutes.
- Slowly pour in the milk while continuing to whisk. Keep whisking until the mixture starts to boil
- Set the heat to low, add in the shredded cheese. Stir in the salt and pepper. Keep stirring until it begins to slightly thicken.
- Pour over broccoli or vegetable of choice.
