My slow cooker pineapple pork recipe is packed full of savory and sweet flavor and is just what you need for a busy weeknight. I made it with just 4 ingredients so it’s fast and easy to put together.
This pineapple pork is one of my favorite slow cooker meals. I love the the combination of the spicy black pepper with the sweet pineapple. The pork tenderloin is perfectly tender and full of flavor.
I tried this crockpot recipe when I was short on ingredients and time. I often have a pre-marinated pork tenderloin in the refrigerator because my kids love it and it’s easy to make. They were wanting something a little different and thats how this recipe was born.
Why you’ll love slow cooker pineapple pork
- No oven – No need to heat up the house with the oven. Let the slow cooker do all the work.
- Easy – Four ingredients, dump and go recipe that can be prepared in minutes and ready when you get home.
- Flavor – The combination of sweet and savory is so delicious!
Crockpot pineapple pork ingredients
It doesn’t get more simple than 4 ingredients.
- Pork tenderloin – I like using a pre-marinated pork tenderloin like this garlic and cracked black pepper pork tenderloin. It helps to add lots of flavor.
- Pineapple tidbits – You can use pineapple tidbits or pineapple chunks. You will want to include the juice in the can.
- Brown sugar – This adds a hint of sweetness to balance out the pork and soy sauce.
- Soy sauce – Use 1/4 cup soy sauce. If you want to cut back on salt, you can substitute with the low sodium soy sauce.

Heather’s recipe tips and variations
- Pineapple: Make sure to use the whole can of pineapple tidbits. I like using the tidbits because they are easier to eat. You can substitute with pineapple chunks.
- Pork: You can use a different marinated pork or a plain pork tenderloin. If you use an unseasoned pork tenderloin, I recommend adding salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Garnish: You can add fresh cilantro, fresh parsley, or fresh diced pineapple for added color and taste.
How to serve pineapple pork
There are many different ways to serve this pork recipe. A few favorites include:
- Meal prep: This meal can also be made into meal prep bowls. Add rice, pork and pineapple to containers. When you are ready to eat, remove the pineapple and heat the pork and rice.
- Rice: Serve on top of rice with fresh pineapple and cilantro.
- Tacos: Wrap in tortillas to make tacos.
- Sandwich: Serve on a bun with extra BBQ sauce.
Common questions
Pork tenderloin and pork loin are cut from different parts of the animal. Pork tenderloin is smaller and thin and pork loin is usually larger in size. You can use a pork loin for this recipe but I like the ease of the premarinated pork tenderloin for this dish.
No, you will need to use canned pineapple so that you have the pineapple juice in the can.
Yes! Since this pork tenderloin is cooked in this delicious pineapple sauce, it stays moist and tender and is easy to shred. I like shredding with a fork and then cutting with a knife into smaller bites.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

I liked this very much and so easy. Ilike that you don’t have to sear it in a pan, just put it in and let it cook!
Would the peppercorn marinated Smithfields pork tenderloin work just as well?
Yes that would work great.
