My Texas toast sloppy Joes recipe is a delicious, simple ground beef meal, perfect for a busy weeknight. A hearty open face sandwich that everyone will love!
I love a good, hearty sloppy joe. It’s the ultimate comfort food that brings back memories. Traditionally I make them using hamburger buns or even use the meat for sloppy joe casserole.
This recipe came about one night when we didn’t have any hamburger buns. Turns out Texas toast with garlic butter and sloppy joe meat is the perfect combination. Now my kids prefer toast instead of a bun.
