Baked Tortellini Casserole

- 1 24 ounce package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 8 ounce cream cheese, cubed
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 24 ounce jar marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Start be browning the ground beef in a large skillet. Make sure to break up the beef as it's cooking.
Stir in diced onion, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Next add in cubed up cream cheese. Stir to allow the cream cheese to melt. Once melted, stir in the marinara sauce.
While the sauce is cooking, boil the tortellini according to package directions. Once cooked, drain the water and then stir the tortellini into the beef sauce.
Spread the tortellini mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and then sprinkle the top with grated parmesan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve warm and enjoy.
- You can typically find refrigerated tortellini close to the shredded cheese and deli meat in the grocery store.
- If possible, use freshly shredded mozzarella for the best flavor. You can use prepackaged shredded cheese if you have that on hand.
