I love a good side dish and these Texas Roadhouse style green beans with bacon is one that can go well with just about anything.

Try serving these alongside some other Texas Roadhouse favorites like chili, seasoned rice, and steak.

Ingredients needed for green beans with bacon

Canned green beans are the key to this dish tasting like the steakhouse beans.

Cans of green beans, bowl of chopped bacon, onions, sugar, garlic, and broth.
  • Green beans – I recommend using canned green beans for the true Texas Roadhouse experience.
  • Bacon – I like using center cut bacon but feel free to use your favorite bacon, even turkey bacon will work.
  • Onion – Diced yellow onion or Sweet Vidalia onion.
  • Garlic – Use two cloves of minced garlic.
  • Chicken Broth – Chicken broth is used to help cook the beans.
  • Sugar – Granulated sugar adds a nice balance to the salty bacon.
  • Montreal Seasoning – Steakhouse seasoning is the secret ingredient to these amazing beans. It really highlights the bacon flavor.

Can these green beans and bacon be made in the slow cooker?

Yes, you can place the cooked bacon bits, green beans, onions, garlic, butter, and seasonings in the crockpot. Cover and cook on low heat for about 2-3 hours.
