Ahi Tuna Steak Air Fryer
Air fryer tuna steak has a delicious marinade and can be cooked in less than 5 minutes. A super easy and tasty air fryer meal.

- 2 yellowfin ahi tuna steaks
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Remove tuna from the refrigerator and place on a plate. Pat dry with a paper towel and set aside.
Whisk lime juice, sesame oil, garlic, green onion, and soy sauce in a small bowl.
Place tuna in a sealable bag.
Pour marinade in bag and seal. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
Preheat air fryer at 380 degrees for 4-5 minutes.
Place tuna steaks in air fryer basket and season with ground black pepper.
Cook at 380 degrees F for 3 minutes. Check the internal temperature to get your desired doneness.
Carefully remove from the basket. Let the tuna rest for 4-5 minutes. Slice into thin strips and serve.
Typically yellowfin tuna is cooked rare or medium-rare so that it doesn't dry out. These cook times are approximate keeping in mind each air fryer cooks a little different. The pictures and video show a total cook time of 3 minutes at 380 degrees F.
Rare: 110-115 degrees F
Medium-Rare: 125-130 degrees F
Medium: 135-145 degrees F
Well-done: 150 degrees F
- Don't let the tuna sit too long in the marinade. The marinade can actually start to "cook" the tuna. About 15 minutes is perfect.
- Make sure to preheat the air fryer. This will help you get a little sear.
- When slicing, cut against the grain with a sharp knife. Try and slice about 1/4-inch thick slices.
