Banana Pudding Ice Cream
Cold, creamy, delicious homemade banana pudding ice cream is a tasty take on a classic dessert. Vanilla ice cream is infused with ripe bananas and crumbled vanilla wafer cookies to make this a frozen treat you can’t resist.

- 2 bananas
- 1 cup half and half
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mini Nilla wafer cookies, crumbled
Warm the half and half and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, salt and mashed bananas.
Pour the chilled ice cream mixture into an ice cream maker and churn 20 minutes or according to the ice cream manufacturer’s instructions.
When there are 2 minutes left of churning, pour in crushed vanilla wafer cookies and continue churning to combine.
Spoon the ice cream into a freezer safe container. Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
Optional, you can top the ice cream with extra vanilla wafer cookies and sliced banana.
