Servings: 12
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 12.4 ounce cans cinnamon rolls plus the included icing
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Cut each cinnamon roll into 8 pieces.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk eggs, half and half, vanilla, and cinnamon. Add cut cinnamon rolls into the bowl. Toss to coat with the mixture.
Melt butter and pour into a 9 x 13 casserole dish to cover the bottom of the dish.
Pour cinnamon roll mixture into the casserole dish. Spread the mixture out in the dish. Sprinkle the top with brown sugar, this is optional but adds a nice flavor.
Sprinkle the top with brown sugar. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Let the casserole cool for 5-10 minutes. Microwave each cup of icing for 10-15 seconds and pour over the casserole.
- Try using a pizza cutter to cut the rolls into pieces. You can also use a sharp knife.
- I recommend warming up the icing just a little in the microwave to make it simple to pour over the casserole. Try microwaving for 5-10 seconds.
