- 1/2 cup coffee brewed strong
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- whipped cream - optional
Fill mug cup 2/3 with coffee.
Pour heavy cream, caramel sauce, and sugar in a small saucepan. Warm over medium heat.
Whisk the cream mixture until it starts to foam or froth. Make sure to whisk vigorously. You can use a whisk or a hand held frother.
Pour the cream mixture into the coffee. Optional top with whipped cream and more caramel syrup.
- Make sure not to warm the cream over high heat so that it won't scald. You want to keep it over medium heat and continuously whisk to froth.
- You can make this decaffeinated by using decaf coffee or decaf espresso.
- If you would like to use espresso, substitute the coffee for one shot of espresso.
