Keyword: cheesy mac with ground beef
Servings: 8
- 1 pound dry elbow macaroni
- 1 pound ground beef
- onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 15 ounce tomato sauce
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 tablespoon Montreal seasoning
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Begin by boiling the pasta according to package directions. I recommend cooking to al dente so that the pasta holds up to the ground beef.
While the pasta is cooking, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the beef is browned, drain off any excess grease. Stir in the Montreal seasoning, diced onion and garlic. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Stir in milk, tomato sauce, and shredded cheese. Keep stirring until the cheese melts.
Stir the cooked pasta in with the cheese sauce. Stir to combine. Serve the cheesy mac with beef warm.
- Cook the pasta to al dente so that it holds up to the beef mixture.
- Try using freshly shredded cheese for the best texture and flavor.
- Make sure to drain off any excess grease after cooking the ground beef.
