Equipment

  • 1 rice cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 cup long grain white rice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Place the rice, chicken broth, salt, and pepper in a rice cooker.
  • Close the lid and cook the rice.
  • Once it's finished cooking, stir in the shredded cheese. Close the lid for 1 minute to help the cheese melt.
  • Serve the rice warm.

  • Rinse your rice. This helps to remove the starch on the surface of the rice which helps the rice to be nice and fluffy.
  • Use freshly shredded cheese. Using fresh cheese will make a difference in the texture and taste.
  • You can easily double this recipe. This recipe makes enough for about 2 servings. You can double the recipe for a larger group.
