Chocolate Covered Potato Chips

- 5 cups potato chips
- 11.5 ounces chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon shortening
Line baking sheets with parchment paper or wax paper.
Place chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave safe bowl. Heat in 30 second intervals until the chocolate has melted, stirring each time.
Carefully dip potato chips in melted chocolate and then place on the prepared baking sheets.
- If you don't want to use a microwave, you can melt chocolate chips with using a double boiler.
- Don't overcook the chocolate. Be careful not to burn the chocolate when microwaving.
- You can make as many or few as you want. Just adjust the amount of chocolate chips you melt.
- You can dip part of the chip into the chocolate if you prefer a little bit of the potato chip exposed.
