Servings: 6
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 1 24 ounce marinara sauce I like Rao's
- 1 8 ounce cream cheese softened
- 1 clove minced garlic
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
Start a large pot of boiling water. Boil the spaghetti according to the package directions. Drain off the water once finished cooking.
In a large skillet, cook and crumble the Italian sausage over medium heat. Cook until browned and cooked through. Drain off any excess grease.
Stir in the garlic. Cook for about 1 minute.
Stir in the marinara sauce. Stir in the cream cheese. Keep stirring until the cream cheese melts.
Add the cooked spaghetti into the sauce. Toss to completely coat.
Optional: You can top the spaghetti with grated Parmesan cheese.
Serve warm.
- I recommend softening the cream cheese and cutting it into smaller cubes. This helps it to melt into the sauce faster.
- Add some salt the pasta cooking water. This helps to season the spaghetti noodles.
