Servings: 6
- 1 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1 ounce package ranch seasoning
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 2 green onions, diced
Use a mixer to whip the cream cheese, sour cream and ranch seasoning. Mix until creamy.
Spread the cream cheese mixture into a pie plate or 8x8 casserole dish.
Top with lettuce and shredded cheese.
Add crumbled bacon, diced tomatoes, and green onions.
- Allow ingredients such as cream cheese to sit out at room temperature to soften for a smoother consistency. If you’ve forgotten to do this in time, unwrap the block of cream cheese and add it to a small bowl. Place hot water in a larger bowl and add the smaller bowl to it, similar to a double boiler. This will soften the cream cheese faster. Alternatively, microwave the unwrapped cream cheese for a few seconds at a time, making sure you don't melt it.
- You can prepare ingredients such as the crispy bacon and grated cheese a day in advance and store them in separate airtight containers. I recommend only preparing the salad ingredients just before assembling the dip for best texture.
- This dip will naturally thicken in the fridge when stored. It won't affect the taste but you can add more mayonnaise, a splash of milk, or some Greek yogurt to loosen it if you wish.
- Don’t allow this BLT dip to sit out at room temperature for an extended time as the creamy ingredients can start to spoil.
