French Onion Soup Rice
This French onion soup rice recipe is creamy, flavorful, and so delicious. French onion soup rice is a tasty side dish that is made with just a few ingredients. Sometimes called stick of butter rice, this recipe is a must try!

- 1 cup long grain white rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
- 1 10 ounch can French onion soup
- ½ cup unsalted butter, sliced into 12 slices
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Spray an 8 x 8 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Stir together the beef broth and onion soup mix.
Spread the rice in the baking dish. Pour in the beef broth mixture and the French onion soup. Gently stir.
Top the rice with the sliced butter. Cover the baking dish with foil. Bake for 30 minutes.
Uncover the baking dish. Bake another 30 minutes.

- Cover the rice with liquid. Be sure to cover the rice with the liquid. This will help cook the rice perfectly.
- Cover the rice with foil. You will want to cover the baking dish tightly with foil for the first 30 minutes of cooking. This helps to actually cook the rice.
- Feeding a crowd. You can double the ingredients and bake in a 9 x 13 if you are serving a crowd.
