- 15 ounces hash browns thawed
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Make sure if you are using frozen hash browns that they are thawed. You can thaw them in the microwave in intervals of 30 seconds. Then pat them dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.
Heat the waffle iron.
Mix hash browns, cheese, melted butter, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
Spray the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Spoon the hash brown mixture on the iron and close. Cook until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
Serve warm. If making these for a crowd, turn the oven on 200 degrees F and place finished waffles on a baking sheet in the oven to keep warm until ready to serve.
