Dry Mix
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1/2 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Sloppy Joe
- 1 lb lean ground beef, turkey or chicken
- 1 15 oz tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup beef broth
For the spice blend, mix all of the spices together in a small bowl.
To make sloppy joes, cook ground meat in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until browned.
Add tomato sauce, beef broth and spice mixture. Stir together to mix.
Lower heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
