Peach Cobbler With Cake Mix

Use this easy cake mix shortcut for a delicious peach cobbler.

Ingredients

  • 2 21 ounce cans peach pie filling
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter, sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Pour two cans of peach pie filling in the dish and spread into an even layer.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon on top of the peaches. Sprinkle the cake mix on top of the peaches. Spread out into an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar over the cake mix. Top with slices of butter. Make sure to try and cover most of the top with butter slices.
  • Bake for approximately 35-40 minutes or until top layer is golden brown.

Notes

  • Be sure to spread the peaches in an even layer in the baking dish. Tip: If you are serving to younger kids, try cutting the peaches into smaller pieces before adding to the cake mix. This makes it a little easier to eat.
  • Make sure to slice the butter thin to cover the entire cobbler. You want to make sure you cover as much as you can so there are no dry spots.
  • If you like a little extra spice, use a butter pecan cake mix instead of yellow cake mix.
