- 1 15 ounce marshmallow fluff or marshmallow creme
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 8 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
Place the butter in a large pot. Melt over low heat.
Stir in the marshmallow fluff with the butter. Stir until melted and combined.
Remove the pot from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract, salt, and Rice Krispie cereal until combined.
Spray a 9 x 11 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Press the Rice Krispie treat mixture into the dish using a spatula or piece of parchment paper.
Cover the dish and let rest about 1 hour before cutting into squares.
- Stir constantly. Make sure to constantly stir when melting the butter and marshmallow fluff to prevent burning.
- Make sure to press them into the dish. Be sure to press them in the dish so that they hold together.
- Let them rest. I like letting the rest 1-2 hours to make sure they congeal and hold together.
