Rice Krispie Treats With Marshmallow Fluff

Ingredients

  • 1 15 ounce marshmallow fluff or marshmallow creme
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 8 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Place the butter in a large pot. Melt over low heat.
  • Stir in the marshmallow fluff with the butter. Stir until melted and combined.
  • Remove the pot from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract, salt, and Rice Krispie cereal until combined.
  • Spray a 9 x 11 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Press the Rice Krispie treat mixture into the dish using a spatula or piece of parchment paper.
  • Cover the dish and let rest about 1 hour before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Stir constantly. Make sure to constantly stir when melting the butter and marshmallow fluff to prevent burning.
  • Make sure to press them into the dish. Be sure to press them in the dish so that they hold together.
  • Let them rest. I like letting the rest 1-2 hours to make sure they congeal and hold together.
